The railroads have a chance to get in on the 20th Century transportation business if the dreams of many come true.
The monorail system talked between Lincoln and Omaha, could be a start. Still, the best I've read is the vacuum tube system.
But it's probably so far out, it will be many years before it ever comes true . . . then again, there was a time when we thought Buck Rogers was nuts.
A community centet for Nebraska City, similar perhaps to the one at York would be a fine addition to the town.

In Salina, Kans., the word "Negro" has been removed from the newspaper's stories (except for teletype stories) in answer to a request to an outsider.
The editor said the new word is "black," and it will not be capitalized.
Doug Dickerson reports deer running about in his "backyard" on the hill and downtown, Mr. and Mrs. Max Beemblossom said they had a deer on their front lawn the other night. The Beemblossoms live across the street from Second Avenue school.
The best stories I've heard about the Black Panther of Minersville were from Guy McCord.
Henry Schemmel, mayor of Minersville, backs up Guy's stories 100 percent.
But as yet, the "big monster" heard about recently along the river bottoms sounds more like a bear. More about this later.
In a Pasadena, Calif., bird shop they have a parakeet that has turned out to be a smart aleck. When questioned by a customer about his speaking ability, he says:
"I can talk. Let's see you fly."
How about that?
Men who eat hastily or get drunk do not know how to eat or drink . . . The dinner table is the only place where men are not bored during the first hour . . . An expert is a man who is paid whether his advices turn out good or bad . . . The man who has learned to enjoy a beautiful day is better off than the man who is compelled to go to an art gallery for inspriation . . . It is getting so hard for a man to find a wife who will help him wash the dishes.
